is ur straightener less than 1 1/2'; wide? if not it would be very hard to do that. if it is, you need to pull all of ur hair into a clip leaving out a somewhat thin section of hair at the nape or bottom part of ur head. you will also need some flexible to medium hold hair spray to give it some hold...Chi 44 iron guard is a great tool b/c it gives hold and protection, but any will do. If you want spiral curls just pick up a small section and twist the iron as the hair moves thru the plates (this may take 2 hands) if u just want a more slight curl at the ends, simply bend the under or out as u reach the ends of ur hair. If your hair is short you will want to immediatly start the bending. good luck!!
Okay...I'll try to explain this as best I can.

1) Take a small section of your hair by your scalp and put it in the flat iron

2) While your hair is in the iron, rotate the iron all the way around so the hair left sticking out of the iron is touching your roots

3) Pull firmly but smoothly straight out from the side of your head

That should give you a ribbon looking curl in your hair if done correctly. If you are having a hard time getting the curl to stay spray a ';wet'; hairspray on before you curl it. Good luck!

1) get a 1 inch section

2) clasp it in the iron, and slowly turn

3) continue turning the iron(it doesn't matter if you go vertically or horizontally - it has the same affect)until the end of the hair

4) voila! note that the slower you go, the tighter the curl will be, and vice versa
i have no clue with a straightner but if u rip up a old shirt into strips you put it at the end and roll up your hair around it then hair spray it then tie the ends together then do the rest of your hair then un tie and and take out the cloth and then vola curls ya
go to youtube or u could just get ur strightner then like if u want flicks just do it like ur straightin ur hair but at the end flick it or u can just grab ur hair in it then twirl it around
umm buy a curling iron. DUH!

Follow the preparatory steps in How to Curl Hair.

1.Thoroughly brush your hair and section it with hair bands or clips.

2.Spray heat protector over your hair. This is recommended.

3.Start from the bottom layer of hair on one side. Take a

small section of hair.

Method 1

4. Using a thin iron, clamp it at the bottom of your hair and slowly curl it upwards.

5.Hold it for about 5 or so seconds, and gently remove the straightener.

Method 2

1. Instead, take the section and lightly mist it with a flexible hairspray.

2.Place the flat iron about an inch away from your scalp.

3.First the iron completely around and then pull it down toward the ends of your hair, while still twisting. It is important that as the iron keep moving down your hair you keep turning it around. This will create the same kind of effect you get when you use a scissor to curl the ends of a ribbon. Running it over your hair slowly will create a tighter curl; going quickly will create a looser curl or make it wavy.

Do this to the bottom layer of your hair right around to the other side, then move up and go around until all of your hair is curled.

Spray your hair to hold your style (optional).
Use a flat iron like the Farouk ceramic or hot curlers.
Hey, my sister has this same problem. You just have to have a really good straightener.

My sister got the Chi straightener from Redken. With that one, all you have to do is put the straightener on the bottom of your hair and then curl it sort of diagonal. Curl it like a normal curling iron. With this, you have to have a small straightener.

Good Luck!! =]
