I just got my hair cut. According to the hair stylish, she said its box hair style. Its all straight cut with a little layering at the side.
I dont have hair straightener at home. So how can i prevent my hair from curling up? Any suggestions? How to maintain my ';box'; style hair?
There are many ways....
1. Get hair straighteners. If youre worried about damaging your hair they are fine as long as you use a heat protective serum through your hair while wet and then a heat protection spray before you straighten. However hair straighteners can be expensive and really you need good ones to get a lasting finish...
2. Blow dry it by holding the dryer at the top of your head about point it straight down the length of your hair, using a large paddle brush to keep it in place. Follow it down the length but keep hair straight with the brush, no waving your head around, not even to do underneath! So do it layer by layer instead....
3. Best way as like straighteners but cheaper! Took me ages to find a picture on google as I couldnt think of the name of it- straightening brush! (simple dont know how i forgot it lol). but as the pics will show you its like hair straighteners but with bristles instead of heat plates! you clamp them onto your hair like straighteners and pull them down, while pointing the hair dryer down too! this will give you a good finish at the ends, have a look....

happy blowdrying xHow to maintain my ';box'; style hair?
I would buy a hair straightener. If you didn't want to you should be able to use a found brush and a blow dryer, and try to roll under the ends a bit to smooth it out. Make sure that whenever you dry your hair you put a product in it to protect it from the heat.
Best of Luck,

You can try to learn how to straighten your hair with just a round brush and a blow dryer. It's a little hard to explain, and it takes some work to get the hang of.
Here's a video that you can learn from.

Hope it helps.
