How can I make natural looking curls with a hair straightner?

My hair's very long and when I try to curl it it usually goes horribly wrong so just looking for tips. I have a GHD hair straightener.How can I make natural looking curls with a hair straightner?
What you want to do is bend the hair against the edge of the iron. First straighten the section. Then go over it again. As soon as you clamp the iron closed give it about a quarter turn and smoothly pull it through the ends. The slower you go the tighter the curl, and vice versa. Be sure not to stop abruptly in the middle of your section, because that will create dents not curls.How can I make natural looking curls with a hair straightner?
Well, I succeeded to curl my best friend's hair with a hair straightener. She had a CD attached to the hair straightener where it was explained how to do it. But I look it up for you on YouTube.

use plastic curlers.... they work better... but you could also try curling it carefully.. similar to a ribbon?
Buy a curling iron.
