what is the best way in ur opinion to curl ur hair and get it curly or wavy with a flat iron/ straightener. i have very straight hair naturally and have had friends do my hair curly adn it works best with a flat iron... i just don't know how to do it myself
oh, and what brand is the flat iron, there are so many, i would never be able to pick- preferably under 30$

Try the Conair flat iron. It runs between $20-$25.
It's difficult to explain it, but here is a video tutorial on curling your hair with a flat iron. Also, although she is using an expensive type of flat iron, it works just fine with the conair. Trust me :D

you can use any flat iron really... just go to walmart and find a cheap one =)
here's a good video showing you how to get waves with a straightener. (the video says how to crimp hair, but it still works fine.)
