Can you curl your hair with a hair straightener ?

I dont have a hair curler, and i want it so badly, but i also want to know HOW do i curl my hair with a hair straightener.Can you curl your hair with a hair straightener ?

but it is VERY VERY hard

its like the scissors and curling ribbons

its the same exact thing

but since i don't know how to curl ribbons.. i don't know how to curl hair with a straightener :/

i would just stick with braids

thats what i did to get the wavy effect
of course you can! just curl it like you would with a curling iron. just start at the edge of your hair and wind it up to your scalp, just as you would with a curling iron. its easy!
it doesnt really curl it but it flips it

it gives it a style still and sometimes loOKS WAY BETTER THAN THE CURLING IRON

if you have a thin hair straightener, this works:



when your hair is straight, get a small piece (start of really really small) and curl it like ribbon, like when you get the scissors and make ribbon curly? do that to your hair its amazing and lasts a long time



try it!! its way easy and only gets easier as you practice!

ok so put the straightner at the top of ur hair. (section)

then take it 1/2 in. down, turn it away from u. like u would flip ur hair out. then make a complete rotation and then straighten it down. it should be a curl when ur done.

Omg! I wanted the same thing. Whjat I did was I took the straightener and put it on the end of a strand of hair. Then I wrapped the strand around one heating plate and kept doing that. Im really sorry if my instructions were confusing, I didn't really know how to say it.
you need a flat iron that is one inch wide or less. always use a ceramic iron; metal irons damage the hair. use a thermal protectant spray. take a small section of hair. place the iron near the scalp. start to pull the iron down the hair, and as you do, turn your hand in a motion to ';spin'; the iron. keep in mind that you are wanting the hair to make a spiral shape, so move the iron in a spiral motion. it's that simple. secure the curls with a light hairspray.

its hard to explain how to do it in words so try typing in

'How to curl your hair with straighteners' on Youtube that helped me alot. Also, you need narrow straighteners to do it, it does work with wide ones.
