How can I curl hair with straighteners?

And add volume to hair with a hair dryer?



My fiancee got her hair done recently and she wants to style it how they did it but her shoulder has been really painful recently so she can't lift it over her head. So I said I'd do it. Any ideas?How can I curl hair with straighteners?
When you dry her hair with a hair dryer, dry the roots first by lifting each section of hair and drying it underneath. To curl, hold and clamp the straightener near the roots, and as you gently pull it through the hair, twist it.

To add volume, you can apply a mousse or root-boosting product to the roots of her hair while it is damp and then blow dry it upside down (get her to bend at the waist, LOL).



Then, for curls with a straightener, you can look up videos on youtube. Make sure you apply a heat protection to her hair first!

blow dry upside down or use a round brush and brush up while blow drying under mostly near the roots
To add volume the best way is when drying hair, to tip your head upside down, so im not sure how you would go about doing this to your fiancee, so just aim the hairdryer upwards.

To curl with the straighteners, part the hair, and get one small section (well as big as she wants the curl). put the straighteners at the top of the hair as if you are about to straighten the hair but then turn the straighteners 180 degrees and pull down, th slower you do this, the tighter the curl will be. Once the curl is complete you may need to just fiddle with it a little bit to get it right and the spray it with hair spray. its easy to do but takes a little practise so dont expect to get it right first time. there are plenty step by step tutorials on you tube as well, just search curling with straighteners.
